VERIFIRE stalked three wide, prompted around the turn, vied nearing the lane, dueled with an inner counterpart into the final furlong and drove clear. SMOKEN WICKED prompted two wide, vied between horses around the turn, dueled and battled inside of the eventual winner into the final furlong, but got bested and managed place. CAPTAIN COOK set the pace along the inside, vied with an outer pair around the turn, got headed in upper stretch, yielded to those rivals at the furlong grounds, shifted out and kept on. RETRIBUTION tracked two wide and between horses, chased in the three path around the turn, proved no match for the leading trio in upper stretch yet stayed on mildly to claim fourth. SPEED KING bumped with an outer foe at the start, pursued from midpack three wide and between horses, tracked in the four path around the turn, fanned to the five path while chasing into the lane and lacked a bid while hanging on his left lead. ANCIENT WORLD laid close up along the inside, stalked around the bend, shifted four wide into the lane, but lacked a bid and faded between horses. FLOOD ZONE bumped with an inner foe at the start, lagged behind the rest down the backstretch, improved in the four to six path into the final furlong and moved up. KALE'S ANGEL pursued from midpack in the four path, then faded in the five path around the turn. FURIO raced off of the pace in teh five path, the in the four path and between horses at the three furlong pole, tucked down two wide in upper stretch, leaned inwardly and brushed a foe in midstretch, then failed to factor. MAX GOT EXCITED raced off of the pace in the three path and between horses, cut the corner entering the lane, was brushed into tight rail quarters by an outer foe in midstretch and made little impact. NORMANDY COAST chased from midpack along the inside, then weakened before being eased through the final furlong.
