Chart notes
GUN PARTY prompted two wide, vied around the far turn, forged an advantage while spinning to the four path into the lane, shifted inwardly in upper stretch and drove clear at the furlong grounds. RAGUEL set the pace as the eventual winner applied firm outer pressure, vied with that one around the far turn, got headed while entering the lane in the two path, was floated inwardly while fighting on in upper stretch, but proved no match at the furlong grounds and managed place. GAMBLERS TAIL tracked along the inside, moved to the two path at the five furlong pole, chased the embattled leading pair around the far turn, shifted out to the four path while sustaining pursuit at the three sixteenths pole and ran on to best of the rest. FIRST PLAYER tracked two wide, then from the three path down the backstretch, chased the top pair while coming under urging around the far turn, then tired in the five path in upper stretch. SUN THUNDER saved ground off of the pace, then lacked progress and missed reeling in a tiring outer foe for fourth. SHOPPER'S REVENGE lacked speed two wide, moved out in upper stretch and made little impact.
