Chart notes
SOGNO DI VINO lost his footing slightly at the start but quickly recovered, stalked two then thre wide outside a rival, bid from outside with three furlongs left to run, inched ahead late on the bend, put away inner rival then felt some pressure from PROUD RACER to the outside, turned that rival away as well and drew off in the final furlong. PROUD RACER stalked from inside then moved into the two path early, continued in the two path into the far turn, spun three wide into hte lane, put in a bid in upper stretch but was turned away entering the furlong grounds and held second. FIX IT QUICK tracked from inside, ridden along thorugh the far turn, tipped out into th elane and could not get by PROUD RACER for second. MAXVILLE broke well then quickly dropped back to last, took the first turn three then two wide, crept closer in the two path on the far turn, swung out into the lane and improved position. SMOOTHWHSKYGOINDWN tracked from the two path around the first turn, angled out on the second bend and came four wide into the stretch and weakened. IRISH ELEMENT settled outside a pair of rivals three then four wide, remained wide up the backstretch, came five wide into the stretch and had little left for the drive. HARBOR CODE sprinted to the front and angled to the rail on the first turn, controlled the pace up the backstretch, took pressure near the three-eighths pole, lost command late on the bend, yielded to the new leader in upper stretch and gave way.
