THE GYPSY COWBOY broke out, tracked three wide outside a rival on the first turn, moved into range and angled in entering the far turn, put in a rail bid turning for home, seized command inside the three-sixteenths pole, disposed of MALIBU ROCKS past the eighth pole and drew off in the last sixteenth. MALIBU ROCKS stalked four wide on the first turn, moved up to press the pace from outside up the backstretch, dueled in three path on the far turn, led four wide into the lane, lost command past the three-sixteenths pole, weakened in deep stretch and held second. BID ON THE PRIZE chased in the two path early, raced off the pace on the inside into the far turn, eased out to the three path around that bend, angled out in upper stretch, summoned a mild response but could not get by MALIBU ROCKS for second. BIG JUANITO stumbled and lost his path at the setart, trailed on the inside into the first turn then moved off the rail around the bend, ranged up three, four, then five wide on the far turn, challenged to the three-sixteenths pole and weakened past midstretch. SILVER N BLACK angled to the inside racing near the back, trailed up the backstretch, saved ground through the far turn, angled out into the lane and proved no menace. NAVY JACK (GB) stalked in the three path then took over late on the first turn, showed the way under pressure up the backstretch, dueled inside a rival on the far turn, weakened in upper stretch and tired in the final furlong. TIGER STRENGTH away quickly and led from inside into the first turn, ducked in possibly from the shadow of the light tower racing around the bend, lost command shortly after, chased up the backstretch, went two wide into the far turn, lost ground while moving out on the far turn, came five wide into the stretch, tired and eased in the lane and walked off.
