Chart notes
FLIPPING FISH advanced along the rail to engage rivals for the lead leaving the backstretch, vied inside around the turn, cut the corner and battled on with HUNTERS GHOST in the stretch run, gained a slight edge at the sixteenth pole then raced heads apart and won the head bob. HUNTERS GHOST raced up close then advanced near the half mile marker to duel four deep, battled on around the turn, held a slight advantage in upper stretch, got headed near the sixteenth pole, dug back in, raced heads apart and got nailed on the wire. PURE ROCKET vied two wide in opening stages, continued to match strides three wide around the turn, could not move on with the top pair at the head of the lane but secured a share. TIME MACHINE vied near the inside in opening stages then two wide when the eventual winner slipped through along the rail, battled around the turn then weakened in the lane. ITWASTHISBIG lacked speed, raced in the back and never threatened.
