Chart notes
LONG SHORTS lacked speed, was under urging near the three eighths pole, swung wide in upper stretch, closed determinedly and was up outside horses approaching the finish. JACKSON'S ROAR brushed the outside of his starting gate stall, stalked the pace, swung outside in upper stretch, bid for the lead inside the eighth pole and finished gamely. NO PROOF broke alertly to make the early lead, remained along the rail and was prominent to the sixteenth pole when weakening. TOM'S SPIRIT prompted the pace outside NO PROOF, bid for the lead on the far turn and tired late. SAN MARCO CITY remained along the inner rail on both turns while outrun. THIRD DEGREE was outrun.
