Chart notes
WAY UP NORTH was unhurried early, saved ground, angled out on the turn, closed willingly, got up late, drew off and won going away. I'LL MAKE BANK broke sharply, set a pressured pace to the turn, drew off for a clear lead, led past the sixteenth pole and was outclosed. PASTOR DAVE was a bit crowded at the start, settled off the pace, swung wide leaving the turn, offered a mild bid only and earned show. MO MESA raced mid pack in a steady effort and failed to menace. SHANKAPOTAMUS was void of early speed, closed inside and improved position. WHISKEYSIPPI RIVER stumbled at the start, trailed the field and passed a tiring rival. KINGDOM CITY broke in, vied inside to the turn, tired, dropped back and stopped.
