Chart notes
ALWAYS ON CAY was reserved off the pace while racing two-wide, split rivals entering the stretch then took the lead nearing the eighth pole and gradually drew clear. DENNARD settled in the back of the field early, rallied four-wide into the stretch, angled further out nearing the eighth pole and closed strongly. TRAVEL THE MAP saved ground setting the pressured pace into the stretch and held on well when headed for third. LONG LANCE was unhurried early, came six-wide into the stretch and finished in a mild rally. ORTH saved ground tracking the pace but lacked a rally. HEY BATMAN was forwardly placed while racing three-wide, came four-wide into the stretch and weakened late. STEPHEN JAMES saved ground racing in the middle of the field early, steadied in traffic nearing the seven-sixteenths pole and failed to menace. SQUARE CAT prompted TRAVEL THE MAP while racing two-wide, drifted out entering the stretch and tired.
