Chart notes
AVRIL prompted the early pace and made a two wide bid on the far turn and drew clear, then was challenged nearing the furlong marker and turned back that bid and drew clear again to prove best under a drive. REDO was rated early on the outside, made a three wide bid leaving the turn and loomed boldly but hung in the final furlong, clearly second best. VINO AMORE was allowed to settle early, made a mild bid three to four wide nearing the quarter pole but flattened out in the lane, bested rest. HIGH ACHIEVER tracked the pace along the inside and weakened on the far turn, came two wide off the bend and was along for the minor rewards. OCTET set the pace on the inside and weakened on the far turn and tired. SAVE THE UNION was off slowly, trailed early and then was three to four wide on the far turn and never factored.
