Chart notes
SPANISH KISS was well placed sitting just off the early pace, crept closer on the outside late on the turn, swung four paths wide into the upper stretch, grabbed the lead approaching the furlong marker and finished going away. DAY MONEY set the pace up the backstretch, held a slim lead around the turn, ran on two wide into the upper stretch, could not hold off the winner approaching the furlong marker and held place. A JUST CAUSE tracked the early pace, launched a bid along the rail late on the turn, raced in aim for the lead in the upper stretch, was no match when the winner took over but stayed on and secured a share. DISCREET INVASION raced in the back, swung wide into the lane and improved position. TEMPLE CITY RUN raced off the early pace, swung three to four wide into the lane and lacked a needed rally. FLEET OF HOOF prompted the pace up the backstretch, chased three wide around the turn then gave way. TAP THE BRAKES raced near midpack late on the backstretch, chased two wide around the turn and failed to gain a threatening position. A BRUSH OF LUCK raced in or near the back and had no response when called upon. LUCKY LOUIE raced in range in the opening quarter then steadily weakened along the inside.
