Chart notes
LEGAL ASSASSIN saved along the rail, was given his cue at the head of the stretch and won driving. HARD DIAMOND fractious in the gate, stalked the pace while four wide, was asked to quicken in the final turn, rallied three wide, and flattened late stretch. HARBOR DANCER hurried to the front, turned back a challenge from BUCK SPRINGS, was under attack into the stretch and gave way grudgingly. DETERMINED FREEDOM tracked four to five wide, and rallied late. SAWCHUK trailed early and rallied mildly. CAPE'S LEGACY was outkicked to the turn, dropped back and passed a tiring rival. BUCK SPRINGS sent for outside speed, moved up alongside HARBOR DANCER to challenge the lead, and stopped.
