Chart notes
SPANISH CHANNEL settled inside with the tracking group always a length or two behind the dueling leaders, angled out three wide on the far turn to bid for the lead, put a head in front at the top of the stretch then was fully extended to get to the line just ahead of a fast closing rival on the outside. HAUGHTY KITTY was the distant trailer to the last turn, rallied three wide and finished with a rush to just miss. SHERRYS BABY dueled two-wide with MONARCA DE ORO, had every chance at the head of the stretch but was outfinished. RODEO ROSE got caught three wide with the tracking group, then bid four wide through the last turn, finished well but could not make up the needed ground. MONARCA DE ORO dueled inside of SHERRY'S BABY for the early lead, saved all the ground but flattened out a bit in the late stages. GET'EM TIGER chased the main pack through the early stages, made a mild late run but was never a serious threat. SARI'S TIGER tracked between horses in the second flight, was prominent to the far turn then struggled to keep up in the last furlong. THE 1/2 AND 5/8 SPLITS WERE UNAVAILABLE DUE TO A TIMING DISCREPANCY OR MALFUNCTION.
