COUNT ASHER settled behind a trio contesting the early pace then took advantage of an opening along the rail when RIVERSIDE ROSE went wide on the first turn, took command through the middle of the race then set down when THANKS MAGGIO (ARG) challenged on the backstretch dueled that rival to the stretch then edged clear in the final yards. THANKS MAGGIO (ARG) settled close up two wide in the initial stages, then took up and shuffled back when RIVERSIDE ROSE blew the turn, got to the inside then advanced to get even with COUNT ASHER on the backstretch the second time, dueled that rival through the last turn and came up short in the stretch. HADLEES HONOR chased three wide to the last turn, was no match for the top pair but managed to hold third. KEEN JAMES settled at the back and saved ground through the early stages, had to be ridden to keep pace the second time around and was unable to make an impact. RIVERSIDE ROSE broke on top then had some trouble navigating the first turn, leaving the rail open for COUNT ASHER, tracked three wide then came under pressure down the backstretch the second time and had little to offer late. FRACTIONAL TIMES WERE UNAVAILABLE DUE TO AN EQUIPMENT MALFUNCTION.
