Chart notes
KINGSOLVER showed speed and disputed the pace between horses, steadied when the MY SWEETHEART dropped in front inside the seven-sixteenths pole, was put to urging near the three-eighths pole then chased in the two path, was guided out while in pursuit of the runner-up in upper stretch, gained to get the lead near the sixteenth-pole then moved clear under good handling. MY SWEETHEART bumped with a rival at the start and stumbled some, showed speed then disputed the pace on the outside of three opponents, dropped from the four path to the two path in front of foes inside the seven-sixteenths pole then went clear, moved to the rail before the five-sixteenths pole, was put to a drive in upper stretch, led until near the sixteenth-pole then was overtaken while clear for the place. SIMONE broke a bit awkwardly but the field left in a straight line, was urged along off the pace on the outside, went around most of the turn in the four path then dropped to the three path, remained on her inside lead until near the furlong marker, swapped to the proper lead while moving in at that point and weakened but was clear for the show. MISS MAGICAL broke out and bumped with a foe, was urged along at the rear, moved in late on the backstretch, shifted from the two path to the four path near the five-sixteenths pole, turned into upper stretch under a drive and lacked the needed response. BAY YAUPON contested the pace between horses, steadied when MY SWEETHEART came in front early on the turn, dropped back in the three path for most of that bend then moved to the two path and faltered. EVOLUTION stumbled at the start but broke with the rest of the field, disputed the pace on the inside of a trio, checked in tight quarters early on the turn then dropped back while saving ground, came off the rail outside the quarter-pole, lugged inward in upper stretch and was eased but walked off.
