Chart notes
DISSECTOLOGIST emerged from the group to have a clear lead on the rail by the half, smoothly continued up top setting an even tempo while unopposed through the turn, spurted away by a good margin in mid-stretch and safely cruised home for the win in the late stages. PROUD RONIN sat alone in mid-pack down the backside, started to make a move on the rail at the three eighths pole, shifted just off the rail with aim on the leader turning for home but could not narrow the gap on the winner in the lane while comfortably besting the rest for the place share. FROST BITTEN was void of early speed trailing the field entering the backstretch, started to mount a rally splitting horses at the quarter pole, angled out four wide finding his best stride late and closed in deep stretch to be a clear third in the end. SNOOKERED had the rail position stalking near the rear in the early going, edged up continuing to take the short way around the turn and while still remaining inside runners rallied up the fence at the furlong marker to win the battle for the minors coming to the finish line. ADELAIDE COURT tracked the frontrunning winner just outside down the back straight, was roused but could not pressure the leader around the turn, drifted out to the five path at the top of the lane and weakened in the three path with rivals on either side when dueling for a minor placing. MIDNIGHT TEMPESTA had a good spot watching the lead two down the backside, was scrubbed on in midturn just off the rail trying to keep up to the lead duo around the bend, shifted three wide for the drive but lacked a rally between runners in the final furlong. ORPHAN HALLIE had a stalking role near the rear on the outside of another along the backstretch, came under a ride going three wide through the turn but was going in the wrong direction and emptied out in the three path in upper stretch.
