Chart notes
MENDELJOHN (IRE) vied for the early lead, angled to the rail, dueled inside of SNAP COUNT in the far turn, edged away into the stretch, and just held under a late drive. SQUALOTORO rated off the pace, drove three to four wide entering the stretch, closed steadily and missed. SNAP COUNT hustled outside, moved up alongside MENDELJOHN to challenge the lead, was unable to move on with the eventual winner and weakened. JOKER MATT hurried to the turn, and lacked a closing response. HOLY EMPEROR lacked running room leaving the backstretch and tired.
