Chart notes
THINK BIG settled off the pace in the two path, was taken in hand while pausing and squeezed past a foe who stumbled badly in front just inside the three-eighths pole, was roused while moving from the two path to the three path shortly thereafter, rallied in upper stretch, closed well to make a bid inside the leader coming to the sixteenth-pole and got up under strong handling to prevail. INTELLECT (FR) settled on the inside, was taken in hand briefly to avoid the troubled foe early on the far turn, moved to the two path while roused near the five-sixteenths pole, gained to make a bid between horses at the quarter-pole, took a short lead in upper stretch, led under a drive until the sixteenth-pole then was overtaken while able to hold the place. WIN FOR THE MONEY went around the opening bend in the three path, stalked the pace on the outside, swerved out from the four to five path when a foe to her inside stumbled badly early on the far turn, moved back to the four path then the three path later on that bend, chased the leader in the drive and was out-kicked while just able to get the show. NEAT dropped back early, saved ground on the first turn, settled at the rear, departed the backstretch in the two path then shifted to the three path, checked when a foe stumbled badly in front early on the far turn then swerved out to around the eight path, dropped back in late on that bend, reached the three path outside the quarter-pole, angled out in upper stretch, chased the leaders in the final furlong and improved to just miss the show. MOUNTAIN BEAR (IRE) was very recalcitrant pre-race, went around the first turn in the two path, was reserved near the back, steadied to avoid a troubled foe early on the far turn, moved from the two path to the four path while roused on that bend, turned into the stretch in the five path, pursued the leaders while outside in the drive and lacked the needed kick. ARZAK went to the front, rounded the first turn in the two path, dropped closer to the hedge entering the backstretch, showed the way through solid fractions, vied inside on the far turn, was asked near the quarter-pole, lost the advantage while under a drive in upper stretch and gave way. DONEGAL MOMENTUM moved from the rail to the three path early on the first turn, prompted the pace on the outside of the leader, stumbled severely early on the far turn and nearly unseated the rider, dropped back fast while checking badly in recovery, fell well behind the rest of the field and was eased but walked off.
