Chart notes
DELACINA sped to the lead soon after the start and set the pace up the backstretch, came under pressure from rivals around the turn, dug in, held off bids, came two wide into the upper stretch, fought on gamely under right handed pressure and kept clear. GLAD VON D tracked the pacesetter up the backstretch, edged closer and raced in striking distance three wide mid-way around the turn, ran on gamely in pursuit of the DELACINA into the lane, never gave up but could not reach the game winner and had to settle for second best. HARD SPIRITS raced off the top trio in the opening quarter, hustled along three to four wide going by the quarter pole, was no match for the clear top pair but ran on and secured a share. ALEXIANA raced in the back through the backstretch, was ridden along two wide into the upper stretch and failed to move into contention. MARITIME MILLIE was forwardly placed up the backstretch, raced in aim along the rail mid-way around the turn, ran on into the upper stretch then gave way leaving the furlong marker.
