Chart notes
CRYSTAL WATER stalked the pace from the fence to the far turn, waited along the rail saving ground on the bend under patient handling, tipped out to the clear in upper stretch and closed will to take command in deep stretch. KITTEN'S WAR prompted the slow pace down the backside, mounted a rally on the turn to take the lead turning for home, held the advantage to inside the eighth pole and was outkicked by the winner late. SIP'N' SPEED was well rated on the lead under mild pressure through dawdling fractions to the top of the lane and weakened in the drive holding the show. TANGO ZULU reserved off the pace through the first turn, tracked the leaders down the backside, rallied with a steady gain and could not gain late in the drive. SENSIBLE MARRIAGE failed to menace. CEFALU (FR) saved ground to no avail lacking a bid. SMILES FOR DAVID was not a factor.
