Chart notes
MR. IMPATIENT unhurried for the first half mile to be the trailer, commenced a rally into the turn circling the field from six wide to engage the leaders nearing the quarter pole, took a short lead at the head of the stretch, bore-in sharply under right hand urging to bump CROWNING PRINCE hard, causing that one to bump the tiring pacesetter to his inside, straightened away in the three path and finished well pulling clear to the wire. CROWNING PRINCE reserved off the pace to the far turn, rallied five wide to challenge for the lead, steadied at the head of the stretch when bumped hard by the winner, was crowded into inisde rival by the winner's abrupt change of paths and finished evenly chasing that one home. DOUBLE UP LARRY stalked the pace to the far turn, was steadied off heels approaching the final bend, continued to gain along the fence saving ground cutting the corner turning for home away from the chaos to the outside and finished with a mild bid up the fence through the lane. BENGAL CAT set the pace on a clear lead for five-eighths, held the advantage to the quarter pole while drifting out to the four path tiring, was brushed by CROWNING PRINCE when that one was forced in by the winner in upper stretch and faded from contention having already been used up. CHUBS ROCKET tracked the leaders for a hlaf and was through early. THE STEWARDS POSTED AN INQUIRY AND THE RIDER OF THE RUNNER-UP CLAIMED FOUL FOR INTERFERENCE BY THE WINNER AT THE TOP OF THE STRETCH, UPON REVIEW THE STEWARDS DISQUALIFIED THE WINNER AND PLACED HIM SECOND.
