Chart notes
CODY PASS prompted the pace two wide around the first turn, quickened away from foes down the backside, inside rivals through the final furlong, dug in determinedly for the victory. AWESOME HARRY very slow into stride, unhurried to far turn, rallied six wide leaving the furlong marker, drifted in drew even with CODY PASS leaving the sixteenth pole, hung through the final stages. SUNSHINE JOHNNY inside up front around the first turn, rated off CODY PASS leaving the first, forced the pace between runners nearing the half mile marker, lost ground approaching the three eights marker, angled out three wide into the lane, erratically shied away from outside rival bumped with BEJCO in deep stretch, finished evenly to the wire. BEJUCO stalked the pace three wide around the first turn, turned up the pressure two deep leaving the quarter pole, no match for winner bumped by outside rival nearing the sixteenth pole, faded through the wire. MY DETROIT CITY slow into stride, never threatened. There was a jockey's objection in this race, the rider of SSUNSHINE JOHNNY claimed foul against the rider of AWESOME HARRY for interference in the stretch, after the judge's review the result stood official no change.
