Chart notes
RED SHAHEEN , bumped by NICE SHOT DOUG leaving the starting gate, sprinted clear on the first turn, set the pace, saved ground the far turn, lost the lead in upper stretch then battled back along the rail to get up at the finish. CREEK , bumped by NICE SHOT DOUG soon after the start, eased outside near the five eighths pole, advanced outside to take the lead in upper stretch and weakened late. MOTOR CITY MENACE lacked speed, raced in the two path leaving the far turn and in upper stretch, eased outside in mid stretch and rallied late. NICE SHOT DOUG bore out bumping the winner at the start, bore in bumping CREEK soon after the break, stayed along the inner rail on both turns, angled out in mid stretch and failed to rally in an even effort. DOOQ chased the pace, raced in the three path the far turn and gave way. ACCONA , steadied when shuffled back soon after the start, trailed.
