Chart notes
GATE GUARD was bumped at the start by SMILE DONT WINK then was reserved off the pace, moved up strongly while five-wide leaving the quarter pole, took the lead nearing the eighth pole and quickly drew clear. WHISKEYONTHEROCKS was forwardly placed while racing two-wide, came four-wide into the stretch and finished strongly for the place. DADDY'S QUEST saved ground racing in the middle of the pack, came three-wide into the stretch, steadied briefly nearing the eighth pole looking for room, angled further out and rallied late. SMILE DONT WINK broke in bumped, tracked inside, steadied nearing the quarter pole lacking room, slipped through during the drive and finished willingly. LUCKY'S SNIPER saved ground setting the pressured pace to the stretch and weakened. SPEND IT ALL was allowed to settle, came four-wide into the stretch and failed to threaten. COUSIN THEO was unhurried while racing three-wide on the turn, came five-wide into the stretch and failed to menace. FURYS GIFT vied for the lead from along the outside to the stretch and tired.
