CROCKETT away well, pressed to the lead early, then backed off to a tracking position to the far turn, started a forward move with three furlongs to run, hit the front just past the three-sixteenths pole and increased the margin to the wire. ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN took a bump from FOLLOW THE START on the rebound after the break, settled at the back through the early stages, started a wide bid from the three furlong pole, then switched to the inside before the stretch, tipped back out to the three or four path in the stretch, put in a strong finish but found the winner too much. FOLLOW THE STAR shied from GET DREAMY at the start then reserved off the early pace battle, advanced from the half-mile pole, swept around the field through the far turn, had some trouble changing leads in upper stretch but finished with good interest. SOLEVO tracked in mid-pack inside, finished up well with a two-wide rally on the far turn but could not threaten the leaders. TOWN HERO pressed the pace three wide, bid for the lead at the top of the stretch, then flattened out late. AWOL was the trailer to the stretch, then kept on and passed a few stragglers in the late stages. MAJOR ORTIZ won the scramble to the front on the first turn, then led the field through moderate fractions, turned away a bid by TOWN HERO late on the far turn, then weakened in the final furlong. GET DREAMY veered out at the start then raced just behind the pace but four wide, launched a bid three furlongs out, got stuck behind horses in the final furlong, and could not get clear until too late. YOU TIME vied for the lead from the break but backed off to avoid getting hung out six wide, tracked four wide, and lacked any meaningful interest in the late stages. COWBOYCENTS took up after the start when MAJOR ORTIZ came over and took the path after the start, was last away, settled near the rear of the pack, then lacked a rally. DEACON JONES got the rail and a share of the lead early, was on the lead or pressing the pace through the first half mile, weakened late on the far turn, then tired in the stretch. BLINKNUMISSIT hustled from the outside post then went five-wide through the first turn in pursuit of the front, steadily dropped back going down the backstretch and was not involved late.
