Chart notes
STRIKE RIDGE was forwardly placed then advanced to engage rivals near the half mile marker, vied then held a slim lead late on the turn, saved ground turning for home, responded under left handed pressure and pulled away. PALACE GUARD tracked the top trio in the opening quarter, swung four wide into the upper stretch and captured place in final stride. DAWSON'S STORM vied for the lead up the backstretch, continued up close late on the turn, came two to three wide into the upper stretch and got caught late for place. GREAT BARRIER raced in or near the back, was ridden two to three wide into the lane and failed to make an impact. BIG LUKE lacked speed, saved ground and never threatened. VALE vied for the lead up the backstretch, could not match strides past mid-stretch and steadily retreated.
