Chart notes
ADAPTED was nudged from the start intent with getting the inside lead into the first turn, slowed the tempo down up top while shadowed outside at the half, opened up when the pesky speed foe had enough by the three eighths marker and was kept to the task on the rail to hold rivals off in the late running. COMPTON stalked close to the back just off the fence, edged closer inside challengers at the half, had a quick turn of foot on the rail with five sixteenths remaining, posed a threat on the rail in upper stretch, lacked running room in tight slightly down the stretch but did manage to get up to win the duel at the wire for the place share. BOWMAN'S RUN had the rail watching the lead pair in the first of two turns, moved in by the half, rallied on the fence at the three eighths marker, could not close the gap on the front running winner through the second turn, finished up mildly down the stretch unable to threaten the winner in the final furlong and just missed outside for place share at the finish line. ETHNIC SOUL was allowed to settle at the rear in the early stages finding his feet, started to pick up rivals making a rally inside on the fence midway on the final bend, shifted out gathering momentum splitting foes four wide in upper stretch but finished up one paced late to settle on the fringes. OUT N OUT DISGRACE had an outside role tracking the front pair on the first turn, continued to keep an eye on the lead duo along the backside, made little progression when ridden along three wide at the quarter pole and while five wide failed to menace in the stretch drive. HEARD A GHOST broke out on the start, stalked four wide on the outside close to the back of the pack in the early running, made little movement travelling three deep along the backside, came under a ride but was relegated to the rear when being passed at the five sixteenths pole and in the five path turning for home had no finish to offer to the wire. MOTION GRANTED was hustled outside early to press the pace inti the first turn, chased the frontrunner outside down the back straight, had enough when under a drive retreating in the two path with three furlongs still from home and emptied out three wide at the top of the lane.
