Chart notes
TOWNER TOO sped up to the inside of rivals to take the lead after about a sixteenth of a mile, was dogged from his outside by ARJUN FOR KARZ from the five eighths to the far turn, spurted clear under some coaxing soon after, widened the advantage approaching the lane, powered away after being put to a stout drive inside the three sixteenths, drifted out a few paths inside the sixteenth pole then cruised home late. T C GOLD tracked the embattled leaders while three wide, was put to a ride mid turn, gave game chase from the head of the lane but was no match for the winner. WAY UP NORTH settled off the pace, angled five wide into the lane but could only generate a slight response. SOUTHGATE GATOR , off the pace, saved ground into the lane and bested a tired foe. ARJUN FOR KARZ moved up between rivals nearing the five eighths and joined the winner, sparred with that one into the turn, could not match strides soon after, chased to the lane then faltered.
