Chart notes
DRILLING FOR GOLD raced in the three path the first turn, prompted the pace outside AMERICAN WIND down the backstretch, secured command entering the stretch, went clear in mid stretch and held sway under pressure. LOTHARIO stalked the pace, eased out leaving the far turn and rallied. UNION BULLDOG raced between horses down the backstretch and on the far turn and had a mild rally outside. AMERICAN WIND came out at the break then made the early lead, remained along the rail and weakened in mid stretch. FRIDAYSWITHMURRAY , squeezed back leaving the starting gate, waited for room at the head of the stretch, swung to the five path and rallied belatedly. KANSAS COMET , four wide the first turn, was a forward factor outside horses on the backstretch and weakened in the stretch. ROUGH AND ROWDY , three wide the first turn, raced four wide leaving the far turn and was not a factor. TWIRLING EXPRESS , outrun, drifted wide in upper stretch. AMAZING BERNIE was no factor. LORD DONEGAL stayed along the inner rail the first turn, was not a factor and steadied entering the stretch. GREY SHADOW stayed along the inner rail and gave way.
