Chart notes
LUDWIG broke a beat slow, vied three to two wide early on, led slightly around the turn, then between horses passing the five sixteenths pole, brushed with his inner counterpart in upper stretch, fought on gamely while battling with an outer pair leaving the sixteenth pole and narrowly prevailed. STORM THE STREETS brushed with an inner foe soon after the start, tracked from midpack four wide, ranged up to bid four deep at the five sixteenths pole, vied into the lane, sparred through the final furlong but just missed. EGLISE brushed with an inner foe leaving the gate, vied inside of the eventual winner into the turn, the inside of a trio of foes turning for home, brushed with an outer counterpart while fighting on in upper stretch, but yielded in the final sixteenth. CHARBONNAY brushed with an outer foe soon after the start, stalked in the three path, bid three deep as an outer foe forced his hand at the five sixteenths pole, vied between rivals into the lane and through upper stretch, but steadied when put in crowded quarters between the top pair in the final furlong and faltered. CARBONE leaned outwardly and brushed a rival before easing out of tight quarters between horses early on, raced off of the pace in the two to three path, shifted out to the five path in midstretch an ran on one paced. GOD OF WINE trailed along the inside and failed to factor. STRING THEORY bobbled slightly and was brushed on both sides at the start, tracked along the inside, chased in the two path around the turn and tired.
