PURSUE unhurried early while trailing the field into the backstretch while racing two out from the rail, began to advance midway down the backstretch, commenced his bid two wide entering the final turn, and closed strongly three wide in the drive to get up in time. MR MORRIS away well and stalked the early pace while saving ground at the rail in the run down the backstretch, launched his bid from along the inside entering the final turn, split rivals in mid stretch and closed steadily to get the place. STANFORD BAY away alertly and vied for the lead from along the rail entering the backstretch, set a pressured pace from the inside of SET TO SHINE in the run down the backside and through the final turn, disposed of his pace rival entering the lane, and gave way grudgingly in deep stretch. EGOMANIA was slow into stride and allowed to settle well off the early pace while saving ground at the rail entering the backstretch, commenced his bid two wide entering the final turn, and found his best stride late while finishing five wide in the drive. SET TO SHINE broke sharply and dueled for the lead from the outside of STANFORD BAY entering the backside, continued to force the issue two wide in the run down the backstretch and through the final turn, was unable to match strides with his pace rival leaving the turn, and weakened in the late going.
