Chart notes
CURTAIN CALL stumbled at the start but came out narrowly in front, showed speed then was well placed just off the pace, was taken under a snug hold inside the five-eighths pole, drafted behind the leader in the two path while full of run for most of the turn, shifted to the three path late on that bend then was roused, gained to take over in upper stretch, shook clear while drifting out then put to a right-handed crop coming to the furlong marker, drew away under the crop until just before the sixteenth-pole then was placed under a strong hand-ride to the finish while much the best. TAGERMEEN bumped with a rival at the start, showed speed then chased the pace, made a bid at the half-mile pole, was urged along in the three path for most of the turn while chasing again then shifted to the four path, turned into upper stretch under a drive and secured the place while no match for the winner. THROCKMORTON broke out then was corrected by the rider and hustled, moved up to get the lead then went clear before the five-eighths pole, vied in the two path under coaxing on the turn, lost the advantage to the winner at the three-sixteenths pole, dropped back under a drive into the final furlong and weakened but was clear for the show. TIME TO STRIKE was hustled from the gate, chased the pace on the outside then in the four path on the turn and tired. WISE WORDS bumped with a rival at the start, dropped well behind while urged along, went around the turn in the three path and was no factor.
