LIGHT THE WAY broke out then was hustled to the front, rounded the first turn in the two path, was well rated while setting the pace, vied inside to the two path on the far turn, responded well when challenged at the top of the stretch, came under a left-handed crop while battling inside of two foes outside the eighth-pole, fought with the runner-up while drifting out in the final furlong and just held under good handling. CERTIFIED LOVERBOY was hard held while inside on the first turn then well placed down the backstretch, drafted inside for most of the far turn, shifted to the two then three path late on that bend, made a bid between horses outside the three-sixteenths pole, brushed with a rival in upper stretch, battled between foes past the eighth-pole, fought with the winner while being carried out some in the final furlong and just missed while clear for the show. MAGICAL WAYS moved from the rail to the three path about midway around the first turn, settled outside on the backstretch, was roused in the three path on the far turn, moved to the four path while chasing late on that bend, made a bid outside the three-sixteenths pole, brushed with the runner-up in upper stretch, battled outside into the final furlong and weakened but was clear for the show. RESILIENCE stumbled badly at the start and was off slow, rounded the first turn in the two path, settled at the rear, was urged along late on the backstretch, moved from the two path to the four path on the far turn, spun into the stretch in the five path and came up empty. ACCRETIVE came outwards at the start then was hustled, raced in the three path on the first turn, stalked the pace on the outside, was urged along late on the backstretch, chased in the two path on the far turn, dropped back nearing the five-sixteenths pole then was taken in hand while retreating and faltered.
