Chart notes
GILDED CRAKEN went to the front, showed the way on the inside, responded well when asked outside the quarter-pole, spun into the stretch in the two path, was put to a right-handed crop inside the three-sixteenths pole, drew off into the final furlong, was given a final light tap of the crop while kept to the task coming to the sixteenth-pole then was eased up while much the best. COMMON DEFENSE moved in on the opening straightaway, was rated on the inside, shifted to the two path while asked outside the five-sixteenths pole, was driven into the stretch in the three path then chased the winner and proved no match while well clear for the place. BULLDOZE moved from the two path to the four path on the first turn, settled on the outside, was urged along late on the backstretch, came up empty in the four path on the far turn, turned into the stretch in the six path and faltered while getting third purse money. REGISTER prompted the pace on the outside in the three path, dropped back some near the nine-sixteenths pole, chased in the three path on the far turn, retreated late on that bend, drifted in while remaining on his inside lead in upper stretch and also faltered.
