Chart notes
CLASSICIST coaxed from the gate, established the front and showed the way in hand just off the inside before tucking to the inside seven furlongs out, got attended to the outside by SECURED LENDER facing little pressure save through that rival's presence, had STURDY advance into the far turn and came under pressure from that pair and was placed to coaxing nearing the quarter pole in response, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, came under challenge to the outside and came out two paths to look CHILLAX in the eye brushing with that foe just outside the eighth pole, dug in under a drive flashing the crop to the right side which in turn forced CHILLAX to flinch from it a sixteenth from home, then edged away to the finish kept to task. CHILLAX coaxed from the start, raced along the inside into the first turn a bit keen early on and pulling on the bit, tipped two to three wide into the backstretch and settled better once off the inside, tracked from just off the pace, went just off the inside into the far turn and briefly flirted with the inside behind a trio of rivals before tipping out three wide into upper stretch getting a seam to go on through, rallied to issue a challenge straightened away and was met by the aforementioned foe getting brushed a furlong out, dug in under a drive and flinched from crop of the rider of CLASSICIST a sixteenth out and was shaken off while running on clear for the place honors. STURDY coaxed from the gate, raced just off the inside through the first turn before tipping five paths off the inside down the backstretch, advanced on the front near the half mile pole and tucked three wide into the far turn stacking outside the top pair and applying pressure coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, swung five wide into upper stretch, kept on to secure the show honors well clear of the rest. SECURED LENDER broke in brushing the near side stall at the start, raced three then two wide through the first turn, attended the leader to the outside three then two wide, got joined by the aforementioned foe to the outside at the half mile pole and upped the pressure through the far turn between rivals coming under encouragement with five-sixteenths to run, tipped out four wide at the top of the stretch, weakened in the drive. KAVANAUGH four wide through the opening bend, chased four wide coming under urging near the seven-sixteenths in the midst of being shaken off, faded and went six wide at the head of the lane, faltered in the stretch.
