Chart notes
TWO OUT HERO seized control right from the onset, under a snug hold dictated the pace unchallenged down the backside, opened up at will around the bend, continued to increase the margin down the lane under only a mild hand ride and was geared down at the wire for the dominant win. AKI had a good spot on the fence drafting behind the frontrunner, chased in vain but the winner was getting away through the turn, continued to fight to the very end running to the wire, rider lost his crop at the furlong pole but it did not make that much of a difference, the winner was long gone by that point and still fought on to hold on to best the rest for the runners up share. FIRE AND WINE was four deep in mid-pack watching the lead three down the back straight, kept pace going three wide outside rivals around the bend, swung out widest in the seven path straightening for home and finished up determinedly to win the duel for third money right at the wire. SPEIGHTS WILL travelled between horses in mid-division at the half, began to lengthen stride three midway on the turn, moved out to the six path between rivals and ran on stubbornly to the finish line but was denied the show award in a tight photo. SOUPER DEBONAIR had an outside spot tracking the pacesetter in the early going, could not keep up to the lead two with three eighths to go, angled out four wide in upper stretch but had little left and weakened in the two path with runners on either side in the last sixteenth. TWENTYTWO SOLES was squeezed on the start to be ahead of only the other poor starter along the backside, made little headway travelling three wide outside foes on the turn, could not find a seam in the three path turning for home, was in tight through the stretch finding no running room until shifting outside at the sixteenth pole, had clear run six wide in deep stretch, tried to make a run but by that time it was late. BATTLE WARNING began slowly at the break, improved down the backstretch to sit in midfield by the half, was scrubbed on for more holding inside position on the fence around the bend but could not find more down the lane and was one paced on the rail to the wire. FULL STAR had a slow start trailing down the back straight, could not keep up to the pack by the three eighths pole and could not factor in the stretch running well back of rivals through the lane.
