Chart notes
HOLA JOEY quickly cleared the lead out of the gate and set the pace up the backstretch, took on challengers late on the turn, held a slim lead two wide and remained confidently handled entering the top of the lane, given cue right handed at the eighth pole, responded, turned back bids and held firm. DAGGER RANCH was forwardly placed soon after the start and tracked the leader up the backstretch, advanced to challenge HOLA JOEY for the lead late on the turn, hustled along into the upper stretch, remained in aim past the furlong marker but failed to reach the eventual winner and settled for second best. DIALED IN TO WIN sat just off the early pace, saved ground around the turn, launched a bid along the rail at the head of the lane, moved up into striking distance then yielded late. CHARTER OAK sat just off the early pace, moved up three paths wide to challenge late on the turn, ran on into the upper stretch then chased evenly in the final furlong. LOCHMOOR raced in contention in the opening quarter, weakened around the turn and continued to tire in the lane.
