Chart notes
STORM WIND set the pace on a clear early lead, was hard held on the turn while on the lead attempting to bear out, kept to path under strong handling, responded when straightened out at the head of the lane and pulled away unthreatened in the stretch. DOUBLE UP LARRY tracked the leaders through the turn, angled five wide for the drive and rallied well to gain the place. WETLANDS WILLY prompted the pace to the turn, rallied three wede to engage the leader at the quarter pole, failed to pass and ran-on through the lane between rivals willingly. CHUBS ROCKET stalked the pace from the rail tucked in behind the pacesetter, mounted a bid through the lane and lost the three-way duel for the place. GRAYTE WHYTE was not a factor. THE RIDER OFWETLANDS WILLIE CLAIMED FOUL FOR INTERFERENCE BY THE WINNER NEARING THE QUARTER POLE, UPON REVIEW THE STEWARDS MADE NO CHANGE.
