GRAND EMPRESS bore out at the start, bothering the two adjacent runners, hustled to the front and went a length or two clear down the backstretch, responded when roused at the top of the stretch and held well clear under a late threat despite drifting out. ALLTAIL chased close up throughout, was under a drive on the far turn, finished willingly but unable to reel in the winner while finishing well clear of the next horse. KISSES FOR COOPER lost the path shortly after the start, then settled inside of the trio at the back through the first half-mile, stayed to the inside, came under heavy pressure from the three sixteenths and was kept to task to gain third while drifting out late in the stretch. PROMDATEBONNIE took up after the start, then raced two to three deep through the early stages, launched a bid from the seven-sixteenths marker, came three to four wide into he stretch and finished well enough to improve while never a serious threat. FUEGO K ducked out at the start, then rushed up to vie four wide into the first turn, backed off a bit to the half, then moved foward to go after GRAND EMPRESS on the lead heading into the turn, came under a stiff drive passing the three-furlong pole, was put to urging at the top of the stretch but did not respond. BALITRIX was forwardly placed to the far turn the struggled to keep pace in the late stages. ANDTHISTOOWILLPASS broke well and vied for the lead through the first turn, then pressed two wide down the backstretch, dropped off the pace after passing the half-mile pole, tired, and was uninvolved in the later stages. STARSHIP REALITY dropped behind early, did not appear to be handling the sloppy going and finished far back.
