THE SQUEAKER took command soon after the start, set the pace toward the inside, got out, lost action onto the backstretch, lost the advantage while three wide, rebroke and assumed command again, drew clear the final three sixteenths under steady handling. WHAT ABOUT JIMMY settled off the early pace along the inside, moved out, roused three wide into the final turn, rallied to be up late for the place, not a threat to the winner. DOUBLE R CAT within striking distance early, moved up to challenge inside the winner and between horses onto the backstretch when that rival broke stride, put a head in front briefly, fell back off that same foe and chased through the final turn, weakened, caught late for the place. GOSPEL FELLA last away, raced back, improved slightly after the issue had been decided, no real threat. SON OF PREACHERMAN stumbled at the start, remained back while also not a serious menace. GOSPEL STUNNING prompted the winner early, challenged along the inside onto the backstretch, briefly vied then gave way into the far turn. FOLLOWING A CLAIM OF FOUL BY THE RIDER OF DOUBLE R CAT AGAINST THE WINNER FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE ENTERING THE BACKSTRETCH THE SECOND TIME, NO ACTION WAS TAKEN. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
