Chart notes
LITTLE STEVEN shadowed the leader three wide under rating, moved to apply serious pressure leaving the far turn, dueled past the five sixteenths, took a slim lead nearing mid stretch, edged clear under strong handling with about sixteenth to go and held sway. GENERAL ISSUE (FR) , brushed at the break, was sent up and gained command between foes nearing the first turn, cleared past the seven eighths and set the pace towards the inner rail, handled outer pressure from the winner into the far turn, sparred from the three eighths to past mid stretch then kept on gamely to the wire. DOUBLE THUNDER , brushed at the start, edged up between runners soon into the backstretch then stalked inside a rival, came out with pursuit of the dueling leaders into the stretch, had dead aim under a ride near the furlong grounds but failed to follow through. MILLARD'S SMILE broke a bit slow, dropped inside and lagged back, angled five wide for the drive and had some late life. GLOBAL EMPIRE settled off the pace and in the clear three to four wide, was under asking six wide in upper stretch but lacked a rally. CONI'S COUP , four wide into the first turn, stalked outside a rival through the backstretch, lacked a response leaving the far turn and weakened. SHAKE UP had speed inside foes then steadied back off of outer foes into the first turn, regrouped and saved ground, was under a strong ride nearing the half, failed to kick on and faded.
