Chart notes
READY TO POUNCE stalked up close in the three path, followe the top pair to the far turn, bid three deep midway around the bend, kicked clear in upper stretch and held well over the late run from the runner-up. TRUSTY RUSTY raced off the rail near the back early on, gained while angling six wide on the second bend, finished well through the lane but could not get by. MONGOLIAN MAX dueled from inside around the clubhouse turn, dropped back a bit to give chase in the middle stages, saved ground through the far turn, tipped two wide into the lane and held third over FIREMAN DAN late. FIREMAN DAN chased in the two path, moved out on the backstretch, rounded the far turn four then five wide, tried to split foes but lacked room briefly midstretch, kept on after gaining a clear path but could not get up for third. ZIMBA WARRIOR sat off the pace in the two path then moved inside, tipped out leaving the far turn, chased between rivals midstretch and improved position. MAN CHILD raced up close four then three wide early, had the left-rein break early on the backstretch, went up to challenge for the lead on the outside, led between rivals with a quarter mile left to run, yielded to the winner at the top of the lane and weakened. JOINT VENTURE tracked five then four wide around the first turn, stayed off the rail up the backstretch, spun four wide into the lane and flattened out. LEYAS CANDY dueled from outside around the first turn, moved inside fighting with an outer rival on the backstretch, vied with outer pair late on the far turn, yielded entering the lane and weakened in the drive. ATTILA THE DUN trailed from inside then moved off the rail, continued at the back three to four wide on the far turn and was never a factor.
