Chart notes
NOTION was not asked for speed from the break, moved off the rail mid-way through the first turn, and steadily advanced down the backstretch, deftly navigated through horses on the far turn, came into the stretch with a short lead, then powered away as much the best. PESO PESADO lagged at the back with only one behind going into the far turn, produced a strong rally to get up into the second spot. UNCLE REG settled in the two path early, rating well back behind the pace, launched a three-wide bid from the seven-sixteenths marker, came about seven-wide into the stretch, then continued to drift out under left-handed urging, ending up near the outside fence. CLARESTOWN seized the early lead, led the way to the far turn, tried to sprint away midway on the turn, held off all challengers to upper stretch then shortened strides in the final furlong. LIKE THIS raced close up three wide but was unable to quicken in the late stages. RANCH WATER raced in the middle of the pack and lacked a rally. ONASA tracked behind the early leaders, tried to launch a bid from the three furlong pole, was not able to find another gear when needed and finished evenly. SEVEN CHANNELS raced mid-pack along the rail to the half-mile pole, then was unable to keep up late. UNCLE FRANK pressed the pace to the far turn, then steadily retreated from the three-furlong pole, slowed to a trot in the stretch. WOOD RIVER unhurried from the start, dropped far behind and was never involved. Copyright 2026 Equibase Company LLC. All Rights Reserved.
