Chart notes
DEFENDED chased inside, angled three wide turn, responded through the stretch and surged late. GIRVIN STAR set pace from the inside, led safely to mid-stretch, outfinished in the final sixteenth and was a clear second. ATALANTA ALEXANDRA took back, mounted an inside bid to mid-stretch, outkicked late, clear for third. BOTH SIDES chased pace between two to three wide, coaxed four wide upper stretch, weakened. STAR OF SATURN settled, coaxed two to three wide upper stretch, passed tiring rivals late. TWIZZLE pressed pace three wide to two wide, gave way stretch. CHARLIE'S BEAUTY tracked outside, chased three to four wide to quarter marker, faltered stretch.
