Chart notes
THURSDAY GIRL was a bit rank into the first turn, then rated and settled along the inside and was roused by the quarter pole, angled out for racing room nearing the furlong marker and made a bid to draw clear under stiff crop urging. SUN CROSS was allowed to settle along the inside, saved ground on the turn and finished well up the rail to be second best. BUZZAWAY was taken back early to trail, advanced on the outside down the backside, three wide on the far turn, shifted in by the three sixteenths and then moved out and had a mild late rally to gain the show award. QUADRA set the pace along the inside and then was pressured nearing the nine sixteenths and onto the far turn, shook clear leaving the bend but came up empty in the final furlong. MILA CANDY prompted the leader two wide and then moved up to press that rival and came three wide into the lane but weakened. GOLD DART was rated along in the two path but fell back on the far turn and tired.
