Chart notes
PROUD STARLET broke in and bumped, stepped to the front and moved inside, maintained a clear lead into deep stretch and held safely. COMEBACK GIRL stalked the lone leader along the inside, tipped two wide past the quarter pole, chased determinedly through the lane but had to settle for second best. TIGHT SQUEEZE bumped leaving the gate, traveled on the inside near the back, entered the lane two wide, moved out in upper stretch and gained third. HEY LIL LADY dropped back under coaxing early, altered to avoid fallen rivals near the five-sixteenths pole, moved out in the lane and improved position. MADONNA OF LORETO stalked between rivals, got crowded at the seven-sixteenths pole, took the turn two wide and weakened. TRANSCENDING (IRE) chased between rivals then got put in tight early, moved inside, saved ground to the stretch and failed to respond. BORDER CONTROL was closest in pursuit two wide into the turn, exited the bend in the three path and faded. SPECIAL LOOK forwardly placed four deep in the early going, took hold and moved out when inner rival fell early on the turn, trailed three wide into the lane and was saved for another day. ORIGAMI (IRE) forwardly placed three deep early, clipped heels behind BORDER CONTROL and fell early on the turn, walked into the equine ambulance following the race and was transported off the track. THERE WAS A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INVOLVING THE INCIDENT ON THE TURN. FOLLOWING A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS RULED THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
