ALMENDARES (GB) unhurried in the two path, crept closer under a hold on the far turn, found traffic entering the lane, angled between rivals in upper stretch, surged to the front midstretch and drove clear. ZIO JO followed in range on the inside, continued to save ground through the far turn, lacked room behind the leaders in upper stretch, bid between once gaining a clear path and earned the place honors. NINEELEVENTURBO got bumped on both sides early, tucked inside at the rear, moved off the fence and passed a pair of rivals on the backstretch, went two wide into the far turn, angled four wide around the bend, steered out widest in the stretch and rallied for third. FINAL BOSS took control early and set the tone from inside, got pressured from outside with three furlongs remaining, resisted into the final furlong, lost command midstretch and yielded in the last sixteenth. ASTRONOMER stalked the speed from the two path, roused on the far turn, tipped out at the top of the lane to launch a bid but lacked the needed late punch. BRAN (FR) sat off the pace in the two path, moved into range two then three wide on the second bend, moved out and bid with a furlong left to run but was outkicked in the late stages. ENDLESSLY steered to the inside racing towards the back of the pack, trailed up the backstretch, saved ground through the far turn as well, moved out in the lane and showed late interest but never got involved. AIR FORCE RED was closest in pursuit from the two path, challenged on the outside at the three-eighths pole, dueled into the lane, fought to the eighth pole and weakened. BEYOND BRILLIANT bumped and steadied early, pulled a bit when reserved on the inside, saved ground to the stretch and was never a factor. WATSONVILLE bumped with outer rival early, settled on the inside, moved into range along the rail then two wide on the far turn, angled back inside at the top of the stretch and flattened out.
