Chart notes
MR. PAPAGIORGIO vied two wide for the early lead, took over to set the pace, shook free nearing the quarter pole, responded when roused in the stretch, drew clear, then dug in gamely on the rail when challenged and prevailed determinedly. VALENTINIAN raced close up on the inside, pulled some on the backside while tracking on the rail, was shuffled back a bit on the far turn, moved up on the rail turning for home, angled to the two path, rallied and dueled outside of the winner to the finish. CARTUCHO raced three wide early, stalked three wide, bid three wide on the far turn, dug in and earned the show spot. AMITY ROAD raced off the pace inside, was steadied entering the first turn, continued off the pace inside, moved up four wide at the quarter pole and was outkicked for third. SHIFTY GOLD stalked between rivals, two or three wide, bid between horses on the far turn and faded. CUPID'S DUDE raced off the pace inside, tracked the pace and failed to respond. BROTHER BRAD raced off the rail, off the pace, chased three wide on the far turn and faded.
