Chart notes
SOUPERGIRL was coaxed to a narrow early lead inside then ceded it to the outside rival to stalk, switched out early on the turn racing two to three wide coming to the top of the stretch, rebid near the furlong grounds, edged clear. EPISODE contended early from outside forcing the pace, moved clear about the seven-sixteenths shifting in after, saved some ground dictating terms on the turn, was challenged in upper- to mid-stretch, overtaken and no match but fought on well to preserve the place. CATCH THE DRIFT got away well, lacked early speed shifting in and dropping back about four wide, swung six to seven deep for the drive, finished well but too late. SARATOGA HOLIDAY chased from the back, saved ground on the turn, was one-paced. SCARY SPEEDY stalked from outside off the leading pair into the turn, came into upper stretch four wide, failed to rally. COMPLEX SECRET chased mid-pack inside on then just off the rail, was asked to keep up about the five-sixteenths, failed to menace. FIRECRACKER FIONA was put in tight quarters early soon after the start, chased from between foes but was again in tight and tapped on the brakes about the seven-sixteenths, found more traffic issues coming to the top of the stretch, was not persevered with late.
