Chart notes
JET FLIGHT unhurried around the first turn, quickened down the backside, sustained bid cut corner into the lane, inside foe through the final furlong, drifted out bumped EUCLID AVENUE in deep stretch, determined held on. DQ 2nd. EUCLID AVENUE tracked off the pace inside to far turn, angled out upper for clear run through the lane, outside rival leaving the furlong marker, bumped shuffled inside the sixteenth pole, finished gamely to wire. FLYING SAMURAI broke sharp, set the pace well off the rail into the far turn, collared from both sides nearing the furlong marker, chased on well to secure the show. DANVILLE rated off the pace and off the rail into the far turn, bid four wide from the furlong marker, one paced through the final sixteenth. FIRST MASAMUNE shuffled back between runners into the first turn, saved ground into the lane, never fired late. ICE AXE tossed head hit gate start, raced off the pace to far turn, came up empty through the stretch. REGIMENTAL slow into stride, tugged five deep to far turn, weakened through the lane. ROCKET HOTSHOT slow into stride, roused on off the pace into the lane, faltered through the stretch. THERE WAS A STEWARDS INQUIRY IN THIS RACE INVOLVING THE TOP TWO FINISHERS, AFTER THE JUDGE'S REVIEW IT WAS DETERMIND THAT JET FLIGHT HAD INTERFERED THE PROGRESS OF EUCLID AVENUE WITH HIS CROP AND ELBOW, JET FLIGHT WAS DISQUALIFIED AND PLACE SECOND.
