Chart notes
SHEZA BERNARDINI stalked the pacesetter, moved up two wide to challenge at the half mile marker, dueled with STORMY MITOLE on the turn, took charge in upper stretch, pulled away and was ridden out. STORMY MITOLE set the pace on the inside, dueled inside of the winner on the far turn, dug in gamely, then was no match for that rival and remained well clear for place honors. HEAVENS EXPRESS stumbled at the start, raced off the pace inside, came four wide into the lane, gained mildly outside and got third. ONE VIOLENT AFFAIR raced three wide off the pace, chased two wide on the far turn and tired. NO FAKE stalked close up two wide early, then settled off the pace, chased inside on the far turn and faded. DOROTHY'S THE BOSS was fractious in the gate, then had her head turned sideways in the hands of the starter for a poor start, raced off the pace inside, then two wide and gave way on the far turn. After a Stewards Inquiry into the start, DOROTHY'S THE BOSS was declared a non starter for wagering purposes.
